Teamwork & Soft Skills as focus in the business game

Making decisions together, solving conflicts and celebrating successes

At MARGA, efficient teamwork and the management of your own company are closely interlinked: in terms of content, we address both perspectives simultaneously, team performance and company management.

Running a company as a team

In the MARGA business game, participants steer a virtual company in a team. Their task is to:

  • recognizing customer needs and market developments
  • developing and implement competitive strategies
  • using resources efficiently
  • making decisionsased on sound accounting data

In direct competition with other teams, they experience realistic, complex decision-making situations that challenge and develop their entrepreneurial and social skills.

What our customers say

MARGA has been an established partner for many customers since 1971. Our partners use MARGA successfully in various target groups across all industries.

The great thing about MARGA is that the focus is on the team as a unit: Whenever we have not fully discussed our decisions, the result was not the one we were aiming for.

In the business game, the team spirit that emerges among the participants can be felt time and again. It quickly becomes clear that the success of the business game depends on efficient teamwork. The motivation to be successful as a team is high right from the start.

Successful in a team: soft skills as the key to success

Managing a company is a real team task. This shows how well the participants can communicate as a group, resolve conflicts and make joint decisions.

In the MARGA business game, the entire team has entrepreneurial responsibility. It puts participants in operational decision-making situations in which they have to find their role on the team and bring the team as a whole to its goal. The decision-making process makes it possible to experience how teamwork works in a business context.

Teamarbeit im MARGA Planspiel
  • Which roles exist and how are these roles distributed in the team?
  • How do you compensate for missing role competencies?
  • How can successful decision-making be achieved in a team?
  • How can teamwork also be successful virtually?

If the focus is on “Teamwork & Soft Skills”, participants are accompanied by experienced and qualified coaches.

Impulse lectures are part of the program. The topics covered include:

  • Effective communication: How can a team achieve clear, open and targeted communication in order to make viable decisions together?
  • Constructive feedback: How can a feedback culture be established in which giving and receiving feedback takes place in a safe space?
  • Conflict management: How can conflicts be recognized at an early stage and what intervention options are available? How can the ability to reach consensus in teams be increased?

Our trainers actively accompany the teams, analyze the group dynamic processes and the behavior of the individual members. They provide practical tips, share specific impulses and offer individual feedback in order to optimize cooperation and promote the personal strengths of each individual.
