Three Lufthansa teams took first, second and fourth place in the final of the MARGA business game at Schloss Gracht near Cologne at the beginning of April.

The aim of the competition is to lead a virtual company to success by making operational decisions in the areas of marketing, production, finance, human resources and administration. During the six-month competition, the Lufthansa employees prevailed against 50 teams. In the final, they beat off competition from E.ON, OBI, Bosch, RWE and SOKA-Bau.

Christina Rösel, FRA EN/PK, likes the MARGA simulation concept: “It gives you valuable insights into the interrelationships of a company. All of a sudden, you have all the different levers in your hand and have to take responsibility for their consequences.”

Mustafa Uzun, FRA WB54, praises the team spirit of the event: “In our team of economists and engineers, we were able to benefit enormously from the different strengths and characters of the individuals.
