MARGA Compact - open seminar
Experience our General Management simulation within a three-day in-class seminar
The MARGA Compact seminar is an intensive management training in which the participants experience how to act and think in an entrepreneurial manner.
As a board team they take over the responsibility for their own virtual company - a global player. Hence they are in charge of the strategic corporate planning as well as for all operational company divisions (such as marketing, sales, production, personnel, logistics, finances...etc.). While finding themselves in direct competition against each other, along the way, the teams learn how to make common decisions and how to analyze the respective results (i.e. the company figures of the competitors).
Together the participants work out a competitive strategy taking into consideration the current political and economical factors. They transfer these into operational decisions within their virtual company. The ultimate objective is to increase the company value. In the course of the simulation all teams are closely accompanied and supported by a thoroughly professional feedback from skilled MARGA trainers.
In turn with the active simulation periods there are professional lectures during plenary sessions, dealing with topics such as:
- Understanding controlling
- Implementing strategies
- Creating company value
Here concrete decision situations from the simulation phases are picked up and analyzed with regard to their contents.
Well-founded learning, active implementation and taking responsibilities for your decisions in the competitive situation as an entrepreneur - MARGA Compact offers all this in a sustainable 3-day seminar.
The target group especially consists of experts and managers without managerial background.
The MARGA Compact seminar conveys an overall comprehension of financial reports and how to make use of information from contolling for well-grounded decisions. This outside of the box thinking is essential to gain an overall insight into entrepreneurial decision making.
- make real entrepreneurial decisions
- implement strategic decisions in operational procedures
- get to know the cooperation between all functional areas in the entire interrelationship of the business
- manage company procedures and see them presented in the accounting system
- align their own range of products and services to the requirements of the customer
- learn how to use information from controlling for well-founded decision making
- transfer the principles of value-orientated management into specific actions
- organize themselves as a team and enter the competition against other teams
MARGA awakens an entrepreneurial spirit and makes management contents a memorable and exciting experience.
During three intensive seminar days motivational lectures on management knowledge are combined with the practical implementation of what is learned in the management simulation.
The simulation seminar offers the conveyance and consolidation as well as the testing and experiencing of business interrelationships in specific decision-making situations.
After several decision-making periods the MARGA general meeting with award ceremony takes place. Here all teams present their strategies and get comprehensive feedback.
The most significant learning effect of the ‘MARGA Compact Seminar’ is actually not based on the best final result in the simulation. Instead it is the continuous mix of input in regard to contents and the then following transfer and utilization of the new knowledge in the course of the simulation. This results in a thorough reflection of one’s own failure and success.

The main benefit of the Compact Seminar is for me, that feedback can be implemented directly. This accelerates the learning process.

Thank you for the great ‘MARGA Compact’ seminar! I especially wish to thank the trainer Christoph Heinen. He thoroughly lives and embodies the subject and manages to convey the overall contents in a very light-footed and vivid manner. This turned the simulation into a particularly captivating experience for me. In short: I was fascinated!
