Since the start of the Corona pandemic, HR development has faced major challenges, as much of working life has since been played out digitally. Distance regulations and mandatory home offices have made employee development more difficult, and training opportunities were severely limited, especially at the beginning of the crisis.
This makes it all the more important to support employees online as well. Due to the advantages of being independent of location and time, the demand for e-learning has therefore increased significantly. However, e-learning also has its weaknesses: A high degree of self-organization and initiative is required; learning success can suffer from a lack of interaction and exchange with trainers.
As a provider of web-based business games, we are aware of these problems. Our solution is gamification! The integration of gamification into the learning process aims at imparting knowledge in a playful way in order to bring about a sustainable learning success. When used correctly, game-based learning can significantly increase motivation and performance.
