MARGA - Pioneers of business management simulations

MARGA goes back to the year 1971. Today´s European School of Management and Technology was the first service provider to develop the MARGA business management simulation, and implemented it in its management programs. In the same year, together with the Handelsblatt publishing group, the MARGA Open Online Competition was carried out which now starts each year in November.

Since then, MARGA has gone through many content-based, didactic and technological development steps, most recently under the umbrella of the ESMT European School of Management and Technology. The basic idea that existed at the beginning of the simulation has remained. Offering a business management simulation as a didactic method through which the new generation of young managers and high-potential employees learn and train in the area of business contexts and management methods 'on-the-job'.

In the year 2007, MARGA was transferred to the newly established MARGA Business Simulations GmbH. The company is located at castle Schloss Gracht, the Campus of ESMT Europeam School of Management and Technology near Cologne.

MARGA Business Simulations - Management training for high potentials and executives

MARGA Business Simulations is a General Management training in which the participants manage all departments and functions of a simulated company in teams. This strategic simulation is suited to gain an overall entrepreneurial perspective. Participants get to know management skills and have to apply their knowledge within the game. Being a General Management business simulation, MARGA imparts interdisciplinary perspectives which enable participants to gain insights into all functional areas of a company: marketing, production, finance and controlling.

Besides the classic talent management it is possible to apply MARGA into the framework of change management to show changes and make them easily comprehensible. Not only to accept the changes but also to support them actively.

The approach of MARGA Business Simulations ensures a unique transfer of knowledge to thinking and acting in an entrepreneurial way.
